Overview
Protograms is the distribution layer of the AI economy. As a builder, you upload a demo video of your live AI product, attach a public try link, and publish to the consumer feed. Explorers watch your reel, tap Try, and land in your product. You track tries, saves, and engagement from the web dashboard.
Before you start
Have these ready before you open the submit flow:
- A Protograms account (sign in through the web app)
- A demo video or photo showing your live AI product in action
- A public try URL that works in Safari or Chrome without extra setup
- Title, short description, vision statement, category, and optional tags
Step 1 · Record and upload your demo video
Video is the primary format for the feed. Record your live product working in real time as a vertical reel. Photos are accepted, but video performs best for discovery.
| Requirement | Recommendation |
|---|---|
| Aspect ratio | 9:16 vertical (1080 × 1920 px) |
| Duration | Recommended video duration: 30 to 60 seconds. |
| Video formats | MP4, WebM, MOV · maximum 500 MB |
| Image formats | JPG, PNG, WebP · maximum 5 MB |
- Place text and logos within the center safe zone.
- Use the highest available resolution. Media is optimized on upload.
- Videos play muted and loop in the feed.
Step 2 · Add product details
After uploading media, complete the remaining fields in the submit form:
- Title — clear name for your product
- Description — short summary shown in the feed
- Vision — what you are building and why it matters
- Category — helps explorers find your product
- Tags and collaborators — optional discovery and attribution
Step 3 · Attach your live Try link
Every listing needs a public URL where explorers can use your product. This is the link opened when someone taps Try on your reel.
- Must load in a standard mobile or desktop browser
- Should not require a private invite or unsupported browser extension
- Can be your app URL, signup page, or live demo environment
- Protograms validates the link before publish
Step 4 · Publish to the feed
Sign in to the web app and open Submit. Upload your demo video, fill in product details, add your try link, and publish. Your listing appears in discover feeds once submitted.
- Open the web app and sign in
- Go to Submit from the navigation
- Upload your demo video (Step 1 · Media)
- Complete product details and try link
- Submit — your reel enters the consumer feed

Builder analytics
Step 5 · Measure adoption
After publish, track how your product performs from the builder dashboard:
- Tries — explorers who opened your live product from the feed
- Saves — people who bookmarked your listing
- Engagement — fires, comments, shares, and profile views
- Per-product insights — heatmaps and trends over time
In-feed embed configuration
After you add your Try link on Submit, check the in-feed preview. If it loads, you are done. If it keeps spinning or fails, apply one of these on your deployed app (not inside Protogram):
Option A · Recommended
Add public/.well-known/protogram.json
Declare your entry URL and allowed origins. Redeploy, then re-check the preview on Submit.
Option B · Alternative
Add the Protogram embed script before </body>
Use when you cannot add a static JSON file. Do not use both options together.
Signed-in builders can open the in-app guide for copy-paste snippets, platform reference, and a pre-submission checklist.

- Yes. JPG, PNG, and WebP are supported. Video is strongly recommended because the feed is designed for demo reels.
- Is there a daily upload limit?

- Where do explorers see my product?
- In the full-screen feed, on discover surfaces, and on your builder profile once published.
- Do I need the native app to publish?
- No. Submit and the builder dashboard are live on the web today.
